‘No need to panic’
Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Bank Friday said that there is no need to be panic as Bank is competent enough to take utmost care and safety of its employees. The Bank said that only few employees at JK Bank’s Corporate Headquarter have been tested positive for Covid-19 infection on Thursday.
The Bank’s Chairman and Managing Director said that it is unfortunate that some antisocial elements are finding hot stories from the Covid-19 crises targeting the bank which is one among the socially responsible institution.
The Bank said that it was a brave and careful attempt to go for mass testing at it’s headquarter’s and out of several hundred asymptomatic employees, few have come positive. CMD said that they are committed to follow SOP guidelines and the staff is brave enough to fight the crises.
“Our all branches and offices shall function normally with due care and responsibility in the pandemic crises,” he said.
The Bank termed the reports baseless which claimed that soon after few employees at bank’s headquarter came positive, authorities decided to close down several departments and shifted infected persons to the quarantine centers.
The bank according to news agency KNT said that only those departments have been closed down where employees tested Covid-19 positive, however rest of the departments are functioning normally. It added that entire corporate headquarter was sanitized with anti-virus chemicals. Further the entire headquarter building is being fumigated to maintain Covid-19 free atmosphere for wellbeing and security of employees and visitors.”
The Bank said that employees at Corporate Headquarters’ are already working on rotational basis and everyday thermal check is being done at the arrival and sanitizers are available on every table in the office. (KNT)
