Srinagar, July 4: Health Employees Coordination Committee, comprising of Pharmacist Association, Health Employees Confederation, Technical Employees Association and Drivers Association Saturday staged a protest in the premises of Directorate of Health Service Kashmir, demanding immediate revocation of transfer and termination orders issued by DHSK for 5 employees posted at Rainawari Hospital.
The protesters said that to the surprise and dismay of the employees instead of initiating the enquiry in the matter and solve the issue across the table, the Directorate office issued transfer order of 5 employees and termination order of one employee.
“These were not routine orders but malafide ones based on the outcome of the events of the peaceful protest held against the Nodal Officer Coronavirus at Rainawari Hospital,” the protesters told KNT.
The protesting employees blamed the highhandedness of the Nodal Officer and requested Director Health Services to revoke the transfer and termination orders and conduct an inquiry into the events taken place in Rainawari Hospital. “At a time when health professionals are giving their 100% to fight Covid-19 pandemic, some are being hounded and targeted,” they said and appealed authorities to take the matter seriously.
