Kupwara, June 08 : Police on Monday claimed to have recovered arms and ammunition along line of control in Keran sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
In a press statement police said, Based upon a reliable input a joint search operation was launched by Kupwara Police and Army 6 RR in Keran village and forest areas along the LoC.
During the combing operation large quantity of arms and ammunition were recovered from a weapons dump, details of which are as follows.
AK 47 Rifles – 5, AK Mag – 15, AK Rds – 443, UBGL -2, UBGL, Grenades – 57, 9mm Pistols- 6, 9mm Pistol mag – 12, 9mm, pistol Rds – 77, Hand grenades – 15, AK sling – 2.
In this regard today on 8/6/2020 a FIR No. 01/2020, U/Ss 4/5 Explosives Substances Act and 7/25 IA Act, has been registered in PS Keran and further investigation set into motion.
