Kick-starts 3 day health camp for J&K Bank employees
Srinagar: J&K Bank’s Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Rajesh Kumar Chhibber and Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company (BAGIC) Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tapan Singhel today jointly launched three insurance products of BAGIC that have been designed to provide a comprehensive protection to the targeted customers while meeting all of their health and wellness related requirements. The products have been named as 360 Degree Protection, Family Health Care and JKB Mukammal Hifazat.
The bank’s Presidents, Vice Presidents, staff members and senior officials of BAGIC were also present on the occasion.
Coinciding with the launch, BAGIC also kick-started a 3-day free health-camp for J&K Bank employees posted here at the bank’s Corporate Headquarters and Zonal Office Kashmir Central-1. Over 250 employees of the bank were tested for body vitals like blood sugar, kidney, liver function, Complete Blood Count (CBC) and Lipid Profile etc. during the camp titled “Mukammal Hifazat for JK Bank Employees” besides conducting Electrocardiogram commonly known as ECG for assessment of cardiac functioning.
The highlight of the event was re-alignment of policy issuance mechanism in order to speed-up the processes of policy bond issuance and improve customer service vis-à-vis Shopkeepers Package Policy. With this, the policy will be instantly issued, printed and can be handed over to the customers over the counter.
Speaking at the launch of the products, CMD J&K Bank reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to provide conducive work environment for its employees, who, he said are the “greatest assets of the company”. “A healthy lifestyle manifests in one’s work and therefore output. As such it is important to have a heightened awareness of one’s health so as to create a balance between one’s work and lifestyle”, the CMD said.
“These types of health camps allow the employees to get their health conditions assessed right at their workplace and under-take proper measures as per the prognosis made by the experts at these camps”, he added.
Calling regular health check-ups a need of the hour, the CMD also recalled and appreciated the BAGIC’s role post-floods in 2014 as the company had settled claims of the insured in shortest possible time.
Briefing the gathering about the highlights of the specially developed health initiative, BAGIC CEO said, “Bajaj Allianz continues to innovate, invent and provide out-of-the-box solutions to one’s insurance needs. The health products launched today are another example of Bajaj Allianz’s ingenious approach to provide an umbrella of 360 degree protection to the insured”.
He also hailed the people of J&K for extending unparalleled hospitality and said that the campaign was as an initiative towards promoting a health conscious milieu for an improved happiness quotient of the workforce.
During the ceremony, the insurance company’s Vice President and National Head Bancassurance Aijaz Khan briefed the gathering about the highlights of the products.
Notably, JKB Mukammal Hifazat provides extensive worldwide coverage against death, total permanent disability or partial permanent disability and other add-on covers. Being a policy with global coverage, it comes handy while travelling abroad.
Later, J&K Bank President (Insurance) Ghulam Nabi Teli thanked the dignitaries for participating in the ceremony and urged the participants to avail the “fine-tuned” insurance products customized to meet the health and wellness requirements of the people. A similar three day health camp is also being conducted at the bank’s Zonal Office Kashmir (Central I).
