Lar Eleven Crowned Champions Of Chinar T-20 Cricket Tournament 2020

GANDERBAL: The Chinar T-20 Cricket Tournament 2020conducted at Govt College of Physical Education, Gadura concluded today with the final match between both the teams of CIF (V)Lar Eleven and Green X followed by the prize distribution ceremony. The six day long cricketing extravaganza played on a knockout format witnessed the participation of 10 teams from all over Kashmir. In a thrilling final match, LAR ELEVEN defeated GREEN X by 23 Runs and won the tournament in great style.
Col Manish Kulhari, SM,Commanding Officer 5 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion(JAT), Mr Abdul Rasheed District Forest Officer(SFC), Mr Arif Ahmad. Asst Regional Transport Officer, Mr M Shafi DSP(Ops) Ganderbal, Mr Faheem Ali DSP(Traffic) Ganderbal graced the occassion with their presence along with Officers of Civil Administration and the Sports Fraternity of Ganderbal District.

The Commanding Officer 5 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion(JAT) congratulated the young players for exhibiting their skills as well as great sportsmanship.
He appreciated the efforts of the organizers, 5 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion (JAT) for the successfull conduct of the event and thanked the audience that had come to see the final match.
Prizes for Best Bowler, Best Batsman, Man of the Match and Man of the Series were presented to the players for exhibiting individual brilliance.
The winners and runners up were presented with a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh and Rs 50,000respectively, in addition to individual medals.
The tournament was another testimony of Indian Army’s commitment to provide the youth of Kashmir a platform to showcase their talent and channelize their youthful exuberance in a positive manner on the sports field.
The players as well as the entire Awaam expressed its gratitude to the Army for providing this golden opportunity and also requested for more such tournaments to be organized in the future.
