Srinagar, Dec 12: With the restoration of train services in Kashmir the people of valley now undertake a journey to Banihal, in order to get their prepaid cellular services converted to postpaid to avoid disruption of services.

The scores of people were seen taking out a journey to Banihal in order to get their prepaid connectivity restored by converting them to postpaid.

The prepaid cellular connectivity which continues to remain suspended even on the fourth consecutive month leaving about 25,00,000 subscribers in lurch.

Asif Malik, a resident of Srinagar said, ” I have been desperately waiting for the restoration of prepaid cellular services but till date nothing have been done and we are left with the only option to get our connectivity restored.”

He said that travelling to Banihal and then looking for an outlet where they can convert their prepaid numbers into postpaid ones is not as easy as it seems to be. He further added, “I have kept all the necessary documents with me to avoid any kind of rejection in the process as it’s not an easy task to undertake a journey of about 150 kms merely for changing the sim plans.”

Another traveller Irfan Kar said, “I have been using my prepaid number from the past several years and the same number is communicated to all my business associates across India, that’s the sole reason why i am undertaking this long journey.”

He said that one of his friends suggested him to visit Banihal in order to convert his number from prepaid to postpaid. He further added that, “I just came to know that there is huge rush at outlets as many people have already reached there to get their numbers converted and we are still at Srinagar railway station waiting for our train.”
