Govt Asks students To Get Study Material From Colleges

SRINAGAR – Secretar Higher Education, Talat Parvez Rohella on Saturday chaired a meeting to review the preparations put in place for conducting under-Graduate level examinations in Kashmir division by ending October.

The meeting was attended by Controller Examinations KU, Registrar Cluster University, college principals of Kashmir division and other officers.

The meeting was informed that examination for first semester, pending papers of 4th semester and rest of the semesters are scheduled to be conducted in the last week of October.

During the meeting, the Secretary said that the Government concern is to save the academic year of the students. He said that students will be provided full security and transport facility for their examinations. He said that all the preparations are in place to conduct the scheduled exams.

The Secretary further asked the students to visit their colleges to get the study material and clear their internals without any delay.

He also directed close coordination between colleges and Kashmir University for better conduct of the examinations. He further directed to maintain due care of secrecy for setting up of question papers and evaluation of answer sheets.

The Secretary also reviewed land acquisition issues pertaining to existing colleges, upgradation and infrastructure of new colleges and operationalisation of new colleges.

While reviewing the digitization progress, it was informed that the higher education department is coordinating with Kashmir University in implementation of digital classroom project.
