Two Shops Gutted in Srinagar blaze

Srinagar:Two houses were gutted in S R Gunj area of Srinagar that created fear psychosis in the area leaving morning markets deserted in the nearby areas.

According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the fire incident took place at late hours of Thursday night leaving two shops completely gutted while as the other two shops suffered minor losses in the process of dousing the fire by Fire and Emergency Department. The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained by the officials.

SohailNabiDhoobi, a shop owner, said that, said they suffered the loss of about 10-15 lakhs in the incident and they came to know about the incident at about 9:20 am on Thursday night when most of the shop was gutted in the incident andthey were not able to retrieve any goods from thestore.Anothershop owner, Hilal Ahmad Kazli told KNO, “We have witnessed great loss in the ongoing uncertainty.”

He said that it took about 45minutes to reach out Fire and emergency services just because of the cellular gag whereas locals played an important role in dousing the fire.He further added, “I lost my stock completely in this fire incidents as I wasn’t able to get anything out of my store due to the fire.”(KNO)
