Pulwama, july 17: Government forces on Wednesday evening launched Cordon and Search operation in Seer Area of Tral and Jandwal village of south kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Sources said The Journal Press that a joint team of Armed forces including Army’s 42RR,44RR Special Operation Group of local Police and paramilitary CRPF cordoned off all the roads leading to the Seer Area of Tral and Jandwal village of south kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Sources informed TJP and said that Army, police and paramilitary CRPF jointly launched anti militancy operation to eliminate the hiding militants in the area after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants.
He said door to door search operation was initiated and all the entry and exit points of the village have been sealed.
Local sources told that huge contingents of forces have been deployed in the area. However, No contact has been established with the militants so far, they said, adding that the operation was going on when the reports last came in.(TJP)
