Reacting to the incident, which happened on Wednesday, a 33 KV overhead transmission line running through the ground of Government Girls Middle School Sirhama fell down where 10 teachers including some students were exposed to severe electric shock.

Dr Veeri said no word of mouth could excuse such senseless engineering.

Had it not been lunchtime many innocent lives would have been lost.

Dr Veeri said nowhere in the world should it be an act of bravery for a child to attend school yet in parts of Kashmir it takes tremendous courage & determination because of such lack of coordination between different govt agencies which is appalling.

Dr. Bashir Veeri demands authorities to refrain from constituting fancy committees & put in real action so that the sense of insecurity among students and teachers of the school is addressed at the earliest.

Dr. Bashir Veeri Cautions District administration about any delay in changing of HT line.

It would put in peril the lives of innocent kids and the school staff which only a person stripped of all human sentiments can wish.

Concerned departments should expedite remedial measures as soon as possible.
