5 CRPF Personnel Killed in KP Road Attack, 10 Including Civilian and SHO Injured

Anantnag: Five CRPF personnel have been killed and an SHO including nine Force personnel injured after Militants fired upon them at KP Road in Anantnag district on Wednesday.
According to Police officials the Duty Officer Arshid Ahmad, SHO of Sadr Police Station was fired upon and received gunshot wounds in chest.
“He has been shifted to Srinagar for advanced treatment,” he said. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the forces patrolling the area opened fire in retaliation.
During this entire incident, three CRPF Man were killed, eight others including four Jammu Kashmir Police personnel and five CRPF Jawans and one woman was injured in the area.
A Hospital official posted at District hospital in Islamabad (anantnag) confirmed this to The Kashmiriyat.
A CRPF personnel while speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that two bike borne Militants attacked them and the men retaliated in which one Militant was killed, while one managed to escape from the spot.
Panic gripped the area after the gunshots rattled the area.
Mobile internet services have been snapped in the District.
