Two Militants Killed in Shopian Encounter

Two Militants have been killed during the encounter that raged  between militants and Government forces at Dragad area in Zainapora  of South Kashmir’s Shopian District on Friday morning.

A police official told The Kashmiriyat  that a team of 44 RR, jammu kashmir police and 18 BN of CRPF was fired upon by Militants in the Dragad area, after which the Army retaliated to the firing.

The Forces retaliated and the exchange of fire triggered an encounter, in which two Militants were killed.

Their dead bodies have been recovered from the orchards of Sugan area, but the search is still on in the area.

Locals told The Kashmiriyat that the firing started around 0400 AM and has completely stopped now.

Meanwhile Internet Services have been snapped in Shopian  district of South Kashmir.(The Kashmiriyat)
