Forces launched search at Anantnag village

Government forces on friday evening launched cordon and search operation in Rather Mohallah of Panzgam area in Kokernag area of Aantnag district in South Kashmir

Sources informed the journal press a joint team of government forces including Army’s 19RR, special operation group of police (SOG) and CRPF cordoned off all the roads leading to the Rather Mohallah of Panzgam area in Kokernag area of Islamabad (anantnag) district in South Kashmir

Source said that the cordon-and-search operation launched in the area after receiving input about presence of militants in the area.

He said door to door search operation was initiated and all the entry and exit points of the village have been sealed.

Local sources told that huge contingents of forces have been deployed in the area and there was no exchange of gunfire when this report was being filed.
