Zakir Musa killing: Section 144 CrPc imposed in Bhadarwah, Bhalla

Srinagar: In the wake of killing of Ansar Ghazwatul Hind commander Zakir Musa in Tral area of Pulwama district in south Kashmir, authorities on Friday imposed restrictions in Bhadarwah area of Jammu and Kashmir as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order.
As per reports schools were closed while mobile Internet services remained suspended for ninth straight day in the additional district.
“Restrictions were imposed under Section 144 CrPc in two tehsils of Bhadarwah and Bhalla under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bhadarwah of Doda district,” Tehsildar Bhadarwah Zeeshan Tahir told Greater Kashmir.
An official said that the curbs were put in place as a precautionary measure to prevent protests against the killing militant commander Zakir Musa.
Musa was killed after more than eleven hours of gunfight in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday.
Zakir Rashid Bhat, alias Zakir Musa, joined militancy in 2013 at the age of 19. He was earlier affiliated with Pakistan based militant group, Hizbul Mujahideen. He shot to prominence in 2017, after he announced his disassociation from HM, and expressed the intention to go with the global movement of establishing Khilafat.
