Engineering Student From Kulgam Takes Up Arms- Joins Lashkar e Taiba

A B.Tech student from Sopat area of Kulgam district of South Kashmir has posed with a gun in his hand, announcing that he has joined the Militant outfit, Lashkar e Taiba.

Locals from Sopat area of Kulgam told The Kashmiriyat, that Umar Amin Bhat who was studying engineering in Punjab had been missing from his home in Tangpora area of Sopat in South Kashmir’s Kulgam since the last month.

The Family had also sought the help of the Local Police in tracing the whereabouts of Umar, however to no avail, a Local said.

On Friday afternoon, a photograph of Umar appeared on Social media with an assault rifle in his hand making him one of the dozens of educated youth who have joined Militancy in the aftermath of killing of Burhan wani on 08 July, 2016.
