Hizb Remembers Its Leaders On Anniversaries

Srinagar, May 16 (GNS): Hizbul Mujahideen has paid tributes to Prof Mohammad Rafiq Bhat, Shahabuddin and Mamoon-ur-Rasheed on their anniversaries saying the “blood of martyrs will never go waste”.

Hizb vice chairman Saifullah Khalid in a statement issued to GNS said: “These heroes of the freedom movement by sacrificing their lives gave a clear message that one day of freedom is better than thousand days of slavery.”

According to the statement, Hizb leader Prof Mohammad Rafiq Bhat, its chief commander Shahabuddin and intelligence chief Mamoon-ur-Rasheed were “martyred” by Indian forces on 6 May 2018, 6 May 2002 and 16 May 1992 respectively.

Saifullah said “no power on earth can break the pro-freedom resolve of the people of Kashmir”.

“India should read writing on the wall and not waste further time in granting the right of freedom to Kashmiris,” he said. (GNS)
