Poonch, April 27 : Two policemen and a civilian were on Saturday injured in a scuffle in Salwah village of Mendhar in Poonch district.

Sources told that a team of police from Mendhar Police Station went to Salwah village to arrest a man wanted in a case of NDPS, which was registered after poppy straw cultivation was destroyed from a field few days back.

Sources added that some villagers from the area entered into heated arguments with policemen which led to a scuffle in which two policemen identified as Yaseen Ahmed and Mumtaz Ahmed got injured.

A civilian identified as Waseem Ahmed also got injured in the incident. Both the cops have been hospitalized and are under treatment while police said to have registered a case in relevant sections of law in Mendhar police station.(KNO)
