Baramulla, April 14 : Dr Pratibha Athavale, an Ahmedabad based dentist, representing the ASEEM Foundation, an NGO, had conducted dental camps, under the aegis of Kalapahar Brigade.

These dental camps, spread over four locations, each leg over three days, was ment to provide dental treatment to the locals of remote and far flung areas in the Brigade Area of Responsibility (AOR)

The Fourth dental camp was conducted at Braripura, a remote location, off the main axis from Mohura.

The “Zorawar RR Bn” helped in the conduct of the camp, held on 13th, 14th and 15th April.

The locals were informed of the camp in advance and the response was very good. Just after the end of second day’s camp close to 100 patients were treated. The treatment included scaling, filling, extraction and other dental procedures.

At the end of the second day the locals of *Bijhama, Braripura, Katthal, Mukampiran and Mayan* villages were provided with the much needed dental treatment.

This is an ongoing effort by the Indian Army and the ASEEM Foundation to bring relief and smiles to the faces of locals by treating and educating them about dental care and hygiene.

During the second day of the dental camp a special interaction with locals was conducted where awareness related to dental hygiene was discussed. There was also a second interaction in which the topic of discussion was the use of sanitary pads.

This interaction was ment to educate young girls and ladies. There was a large participation during the second interaction as an educational awareness on a topic like this was done for the first time for the local villages.

The dental camp at Braripura was very well appreciated by the locals. They were very thankful to Dr Pratibha Athavale and Kalapahar Brigade for there effort.
