NOIDA, Uttar Pradesh based, Shams Khwaja, is one of the 17 candidates to run for Anantnag Lok Sabha seat in upcoming elections and has filed the nomination last week in the office. Valley would be going under three phases, in which Anantnag in third, Kulgam in fifth, and Pulwama as well as Shopian under sixth phase.
On Friday, the supervisor, Khalid Jahangir, alongside other officials, done the scrutiny of all the nomination papers filed, among which only 17 could made through it, reported The Kashmiriyat. As per reports, it is the first time any non-Kashmiri is contesting from Anantnag constituency.
Notably, India is going to general elections from 11 April 2019.
